Plot and Storyline
This chapter opens very well. The scene is easy to visualise and the situation is well explained. The characters are nicely presented and contrasted, and there’s a very good mix of narrative and dialogue. The dialogue helps drive the story along, and the pace of the narrative keeps the reader’s interest. The blend of politics, personal concerns and adventure is a winning combination.
