The High Trader Walton is a dignified man who comes from the High Trader Village of Scarlet in McAnerin. Walton is a gem-and-metal smith, and is both grave and intelligent. He wears a distinctive cap and he and his partner
Walton tries to help besieged Torm Castle, but in the end he and Templeton are the innocent agents of its fall.
High Trader Walton is named for my friend and fellow writer Jean Walton. He appears in the book
